Voice Mail
Voice
mail is a device similar to an answering machine that is used for a mass
amount of customers. Voice mail has the abbility to recieve, forward,
and respond by way of certain actions. A user can receive calls on voice
mail just like an answering machine would record them, but then the user
may forward the call to another user if he wishes, or store the message
away for later reference.
Voice mail is a single centralized unit that can take messages for a large
group of people, therefore rendering the answering machine obselete if
your phone company carries voice mail. It is not only more efficient in
the sense of recieving, storing, and forwarding calls, but also you do
not need a unit in your house. You simply dial a set of numbers and it
will allow you to access your voice mail.
Voice mail has also become very popular in the world of business. Using
an automated attendant, large businesses may find it much easier to recieve
customers. With an automated customer service line, it will dramatically
cut down the number who will have to wait to speak with customer services.
